In 1936, prospectors drilling for oil inadvertently tapped into CO2-rich water trapped along a fault line. They created a rare cold-water geyser that remains one of a handful of its kind in the world. Visit yourself to witness the Crystal Geyser’s vigorous eruptions and brilliant orange travertine formations the mineral-rich water creates.
The Geyser is approximately five miles downstream from the guestrooms. Visit in the evening to catch the glow of the sunset reflected in the geyser waters.
